Program Overview and Target Audience
The SCSG Nurse Course will provide education to practicing nursing professionals who are involved in the management of GI disorders. Faculty presenters will explain the new keys to pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic approaches to help obtain the greatest benefits, the lowest rate of unwanted effects, and the best quality of life for GI patients.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe new data as it pertains to the implications and options for patients as it pertains to their continued care

  • Apply updated guidelines for care for chronic liver and GI related diseases

  • Discuss future directions of therapeutics, diagnostics, and technology in the management of GI and liver diseases

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and the Southern California Society of Gastroenterology (SCSG).
