The Southern California Society of Gastroenterology (SCSG) is pleased to announce the 2023 GI Symposium being held June 16-18, both online and in-person at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, CA.
The symposium will provide a unique opportunity to receive a comprehensive update on gastrointestinal disorders from nationally renowned faculty. The educational lectures at this symposium will focus on important advances presented at the annual Digestive Disease Week (DDW) Meeting and/or in recent publications. You will also have ample opportunity to interact with colleagues, our expert faculty members, and industry representatives.

The LA LIVE! symposium is designed to improve endoscopy practice through live case presentations from leading centers in Southern California, hands-on demonstrations and interactive educational lectures delivered by leading experts. This will be an optional add-on course to the GI Symposium. CME credits will be offered. Registration for this optional program is available to you when you register for the main course.
8th Annual CE Nurse Course on June 17
This half-day session is dedicated exclusively to nursing professionals who are involved in the management of GI disorders. The year's course will highlight the most recent advances in the management of GI diseases as presented at the annual Digestive Disease Week (DDW) meeting. In addition, the course will provide attendees virtual access to the 1.5 day physician focused symposium.

Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the care of patients with chronic liver disease (CLD) and gastrointestinal (GI) disorders.
Statement of Need
The goal of this program is to provide important clinical and scientific data on the management of CLD and GI disorders.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this symposium, participants should be better able to:
- Describe current guidelines for the diagnosis and mangement of CLD and GI disorders
- Employ an evidence-based approach to the management of CLD and GI disorders
- Identify new advances presented at national congresses and assess their potential impact on clinical practice
